The National Center for Health Statistics, part of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, is conducting a major study of the health of persons living in the United States. Hudson County, New Jersey has been randomly selected as one of the survey locations during the current National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES).

The surveys will be conducted starting March 26, 2020 through June 7, 2020.

The selected household will first receive a postcard from NHANES confirming their selection in the study, followed by an official letter from the US government. The final step in the selection process is a face to face interview from a member of the National Center for Health Statistics.

It is important for use to assure the county residents that this is legitimate survey is a federally funded national effort with significant influence in health policy across the nation.  Also, enclosed is a confidentiality brochure detailing the lengths that we take to secure the data.  This information can also be found online at www.cdc.gov/nchs/nhanes.htm

Participation is strictly voluntarily.
